Summer Incoming

Summer Incoming

June is in full bloom, even though the weather says otherwise. It’s a good thing indoor dining is back!

Here’s a snapshot of what Domino Communications has been up to this past month…

First up, we’re primed and ready to celebrate Pride month in style with Crystal Head Vodka’s new limited-edition Pride magnum. The striking bottle features all the colours of the rainbow, and a contribution from each bottle sold will be donated directly to Kaleidoscope Trust, the only UK-based human rights organisation focused on defending LGBTQ+ rights across the Commonwealth.

Crystal Head Vodka Pride Magnum (1.75L) is priced at £140 available online and in-store at Selfridges from 1st June and then from all good drinks retailers. The 700ml bottle is £59, from all good retailers.

In addition, Crystal Head has created a bespoke Pride cocktail collection. Brand ambassadors from the USA, Canada, UK and more created serves in the colours of the Progress Pride Flag.

We hosted an Egan’s Irish Whiskey tasting with some of the UK’s top drinks influencers. They got to hear more about the wonderful family-run brand, and got a taste of Egan’s Vintage grain. Some even called it “dangerously drinkable” – and we’re inclined to agree!

The Independent named BrewDog Distilling Co’s Clean & Press hard seltzers the best for natural flavours. If you’re avoiding indoor dining until you’re vaccinated, may we suggest a few of these lovely cans for your next outdoors adventure.

If the weather does not permit a picnic and you don’t yet feel ready to leave the comfort and safety of your own home (we get it), why not try your hand at making one of Crystal Head’s Pride cocktails? Below is the recipe for What’s The T?, the brown cocktail in the Progress flag.

What’s The T?

45ml Crystal Head Vodka

15ml Honey Simple Syrup

10ml Fresh Lemon Juice

10ml Cointreau

Top with Black Tea

Build ingredients in a rocks glass and stir. Garnish with a lemon wheel.

Turning Up The Heat

Turning Up The Heat

With indoor dining and drinking finally opening up this month, May has got off to a promising start. We certainly enjoyed April’s heatwave and are very much looking forward to plenty more scorchers – aka an excuse to bulk-buy our newest obsession: LoneWolf x Regal Rogue cocktail pouches.

Here’s a snapshot of what Domino Communications has in store this month…

First up, we’ve done some matchmaking. A December introduction between BrewDog Distilling Co’s LoneWolf Gin and Regal Rogue vermouth led to a very tasty collaboration indeed: LoneWolf x Regal Rogue cocktail pouches. These super-slick pouches come in four delicious flavour combos:

·       Bold Wolf Negroni is a classic negroni made using equal measures of LoneWolf London Dry gin, Regal Rogue’s Bold Red vermouth and Campari.

·       Lively Wolf Martini is created using LoneWolf London Dry gin and Regal Rogue’s Lively White vermouth, is a clean cut and flavoursome amped up spin on a classic Martini.

·       Paw Star Martini uses LoneWolf’s Cactus and Lime gin and Regal Rogue’s Daring Dry vermouth to create a tropical, passionfruit-forward flavour bomb.

·       Wild Wolf Sour uses LoneWolf Cloudy Lemon gin and Regal Rogue Wild Rosé vermouth. It has a little sweetness, a little tartness, and a tonne of character.

To top it off, they’re priced at £25 for the 4 cocktails, the packaging is gorgeous and 100% sustainable. Need we say more?

We welcomed our newest client, GIMBER, just in time for Earth Day. GIMBER is an alcohol-free drink packed with the best organic ginger, lemon, herbs and spices to make your taste buds tango. Simply put, GIMBER is 0% alcohol, 100% taste, and 200% bite. Why not try their perfect serve when you fancy switching up the alcohol with friends?

The Sun called Craft Rum Club “the gift that keeps on giving”, and we couldn’t agree more. Their April box came with a wonderful Piña Colada theme, and we can’t wait to see what May has in store.

With outdoor drinking back in full force, we’d like to propose a toast – and who better to assist than Crystal Head Vodka? How about a refreshing Crystal Cosmo with their Aurora vodka? It’s crisp, gently floral, with a hint of pepper and is sure to raise the home cocktail bar game with its stunning bottle inspired by the Aurora Borealis.

45ml Crystal Head Aurora vodka

15ml triple sec or Cointreau

30ml Cranberry juice

Lime squeeze

Orange Peel

Add Crystal Head Aurora, cranberry juice, triple sec / Cointreau and lime juice in a shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously until chilled and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish by twisting orange peel to release citrus oils, then drop into cocktail.

Crystal Head Aurora is £52.85 available from Master of Malt.

It’s finally here – April 12th – and we couldn’t be more excited to finally visit some of our favourite outdoors bars and restaurants again. Patience may be a virtue, but that was a seriously long wait that, I'm sure you’ll agree, need not be repeated anytime soon!

Looking for some al fresco-inspo? Head down to the Wigmore Summer Terrace and Garden at The Langham Hotel from Monday where you can be sipping on some delicious Regal Rogue Spritz action. Enjoy the ‘Rogue Life’, ‘The Rose Fairy’ or the ‘Summer Solistice’ and enjoy being looked after by one of the best bar teams in town. ☀️🍹
