Hello 2021, a slightly different start to the new annum but we hope you all managed to have a relaxing break over Christmas and the New Year.

Seeing lockdown 3 kicking in in the UK, times are seriously challenging but we’re determined to not let it get us down, here’s a few things that will help start the year off right:

With another lockdown it’s fundamental to stay positive and keep our mind and bodies healthy as we start out the new year. That’s why we’re turning to leading healthy hedonist herself Camille Vidal, Channel 4 Sunday Brunch No and Low expert and founder of mindful drinking platform La Maison Wellness.

She’s all about bringing mindfulness to the glass and changing your drinking habits for the better. Have a drink but make it a GREAT one, check out her top tips for January here.

Ingredients

  • 60ml Everleaf Marine

  • 15ml celery juice

  • 5ml olive brine

  • 15ml lemon juice

  • 15ml birch syrup (or non-refined sugar syrup)

Pinch of salt

 Method

Add all ingredients into a shaker, and give a strong shake and pour into a rocks glass. Garnish with a celery stick et voilá

If you’re not wanting to cut alcohol out completely, why not try a Regal Rogue Winter Spritz. Championing low abv and lower sugar aperitifs, it’s super easy to enjoy a delicious and refreshing cocktail in 3 simple steps. Hey, it might even help bring us some much-needed Aussie sunshine.

Lively White:
Bursting with citrus and floral notes, marrying an Orange, NSW, Organic un-wooded Chardonnay with native lemon myrtle, desert limes, finger limes and native thyme withy elderflower, lemongrass, grapefruit and chamomile.

Serve over ice in a wine goblet with refreshingly light FeverTree Elderflower tonic and garnish with a lemon wedge and a sprig of rosemary

Burn’s Night is coming up on 25th January, why not celebrate the Scottish poet with a delicious Hot Toddy using Five Hundred Cuts rum from BrewDog Distilling Co. distilled grain to glass in the distillery in Aberdeenshire.

Ingredients

  • 35ml Five Hundred Cuts

  • 20ml lemon juice

  • 30ml honey

  • Cinnamon

  • Nutmeg

Method

Pop the kettle on. Add Five Hundred Cuts, lemon juice and honey to a mug, and top with hot water to combine. Garnish with cinnamon and nutmeg for extra warmth
